It’s a road I’ve travelled many times. Anyone who has visited the Canadian Rockies might recognize it — the road that takes you to a trailhead or that little resort town you’ve been looking forward to.
For those of us in the city, this is the view that heralds good times. The road to freedom, as I sometimes think of it.
Somewhere along this road, the worries of everyday life begin to fall away. You become just another small part of the landscape, with nothing to do but take it all in.
